Personalised Coaching | Performance Testing & Biomechanics | Providers of ErgoFit
At our Science to Sport laboratories in Cape Town, South Africa and Girona, Spain – our approach to your bike fit is a holistic consideration of all the variables. We utilise our own ErgoFiT system in all of our labs, coupled with 3D kinematics via a custom interface developed exclusively by STT for Science to Sport – and Gebiomized saddle pressure mapping systems to offer a comprehensive and complete biomechanic solution. We combine these technologies with individual measurements, history and training load.
This biomechanical methodology considers your body, your bike and your training for an optimal fit for both comfort and performance.
In our Basic Fit, your individual measurements are taken after a simple interview. This information is used to create an accurate set of predicted bicycle measurements using our proprietary ErgoFiT software. Your fit will be assessed with the 6-point ErgoFiT optimisation process, with you on the bike.
Using the same bike fit procedure as the Advanced ErgoFiT, the Professional ErgoFit further optimises all parameters, with full body 3D Kinematics, using our exclusive personalised STT technology to assess joint angles, stability and overall position.
The Advanced Fit is an extension of the Basic Fit, but includes additional assessment such as correcting leg length discrepancy, foot alignment and cleat positioning. 2D Kinematics (to measure stability) and saddle pressure mapping to assess a range of fundamental values, changes and movement patterns are incorporated into the bike fit.
These consultations are only performed by Professor Swart and Dr David De Klerk. The fit includes an assessment of the injury and unique intrinsic factors that may have contributed to the injury as well as prescribed exercises and stretching required. Using principles incorporated in the Professional Fit, your bike fit is comprehensively evaluated. A portion of this consultation can be claimed from medical aid.
If you’re unable to make it to a Science to Sport Lab for one of these fits, we have a number of approved ErgoFit providers who will be able to assist.
We’ve helped a range of clients find this optimal fit – this is what some of them have to say.
